DAY 01 - WELCOME TO MELBOURNE ( - / - / D )
Arrive at Tullamarine Melbourne International Airport. Welcome to Melbourne, Australia! Your airport private transfer will take you to your hotel in Melbourne. Tonight, you can arrange a taxi going to Shark Fin Inn Restaurant for your dinner. After your dinner transfer back to your hotel. The rest of today is free at your own leisure. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 02 - MELBOURNE – MT. BULLER SNOW EXPERIENCE ( B / L / D )
After breakfast from your hotel, you will take a free shuttle bus going to your accommodation at Duck Inn Mt. Buller (situated from the base of Mt. Buller). Lunch at a local restaurant en route to Mt. Buller is included. You will experience snow activities in Mt. Buller after your check-in at your hotel. With over 300 hectares of skiable terrain, there is something to appeal to all levels of ability. Our runs range from the wide beginner’s slopes of Bourke St and Burnt Hut Spur to the challenge of our black runs like Chamois. With 20 lifts, Mt Buller has the largest lift network in Victoria, including thirteen chairlifts (three of which are high-speed detachable) two T-bars, two rope tows (counted as one), and three magic carpets. The resort features three Terrain Parks designed for all skill levels, with a dedicated snow grooming team to maintain their condition. A visit to Mt. Buller includes lift passes, snow apparel & equipment hire for first-timer visitors. End your day with dinner at a local restaurant in Mt. Buller Village. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 03 - SLED DOG TOUR EXPERIENCE ( B / L / D )
Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel. This morning is a unique and truly memorable experience not to be missed – your experience with our friendly Siberian Huskies. Australian Sled Dog Tours has operated tours on Mt. Buller since 2014. Join the friendly team of Siberian Huskies and their dedicated owners for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure you’ll never forget. Tours will be operating throughout the whole season, subject to snow and weather conditions. Tours include a meet and greet with the Huskies, a photo session, and a sled dog tour. A perfect introduction to dog sledding, take in the spectacular scenery of Mt. Buller. Your local lunch at the restaurant in Mt. Buller Village is included.
Important: You will have to book in advance your rideshare going to the departure point of Sled dog when you get to the hotel. Shared-ride booking is required. Another option you will take a taxi on your own to go to the Sled dog departure point. Continue your snow activities in your own free time for the remainder of your stay in Mt. Buller. Dinner is at a local restaurant in Mt. Buller Village.
DAY 04 - MT. BULLER - MELBOURNE ( B / L / D )
After breakfast at your hotel, you will continue your journey back to Melbourne. Lunch at a local restaurant en route to Melbourne. Arrive and check in to your hotel. Take in the free City Tram and proceed to your dinner at Quay Buffet Restaurant. The rest of today is free at your own leisure.
DAY 05 - VICTORIA TOURS ( B / L / D )
Your journey comes to an end after breakfast. Departure transfer to Hobart Domestic Airport. A choice of any one of these tours is included.
Puffing Billy Steam Train and Penguin Parade Experience (Standard view)
After your breakfast, you will commence for the two different attractions, and both are as delightful as the other. Ride the historic Puffing Billy steam train in the morning and then at sunset, witness the natural phenomenon of the Penguin Parade on Phillip Island.Travel through the Dandenong Ranges National Park with its towering mountain ash forest, traditional gardens, and home of the lyrebird. Visit Sherbrooke Forest –the heart of Dandenongs. See colorful Crimson Rosellas and King Parrots at Grant's Picnic Ground and enjoy morning tea Aussie style with a Bush Billy tea and the chance to sample some Aussie food favorites - lamingtons, Vegemite, and crackers.Ride through the forest from Belgrave to Menzies Creek, the most scenic section of the original steam locomotive's journey, pass numerous quaint villages noted for their cafes, craft shops, and beautiful gardens and stop and explore Sassafras, home to a range of local crafts and antiques. Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit Warrook Homestead and get up close to kangaroos with the opportunity to feed. Admire the resident koalas, and panoramic views of Western Port and French Island, San Remo - maritime fishing village. Phillip Island Nature Park -a natural home for koalas, seals, shearwaters, and Little Penguins. Visit the Koala Conservation Centre - look for koalas in their natural habitat from treetop boardwalks. Witness the Penguin Parade on floodlit Summerland Beach from the general viewing area, see penguin rookeries from an elevated boardwalk, inspect the Visitors Centre - an opportunity to learn about the life of the Little Penguin.
Note: After the tour, you will be dropped off at your hotel.Sovereign Hill Tour
Balarat is steeped in history from the Gold Rush days of the 1850s when people from around the world came to seek their fortune. Sovereign Hill located just outside the town center, is a premium outdoor museum that re-creates Ballarat’s discovery of gold in 1851. Tour through Ballarat, taking in its period buildings and statues and learning some of its histories.At Sovereign Hill experience the authentic gold mining town. Have a do at gold panning in Red Gully Creek and head underground and enjoy the Red Hill Mine Tour. Explore the main street and its many original shops or perhaps enjoy Devonshire tea at the New York Bakery. Lunch is included inside Sovereign Hill.
Continue your tour through Ballarat Wildlife Park, owned by the Parker family, which is home to a host of native Australian animals including Patrick, Australia’s most famous wombat. Feed free-range Kangaroos, experience an Emu encounter, and meet our cute cuddly Koalas. Do not forget to see the Tasmanian Devils, Goannas, and giant lizards.
DAY 06 - MELBOURNE DEPARTURE ( B / - / - )
Your journey comes to an end after your breakfast this morning. Free until check-out time from your hotel.
You will be transferred to Tullamarine Melbourne International airport for your international flight bound home taking with you the unforgettable and lasting memories of a wonderful Australia.
